Nine members of the Johnson Lab attended the annual meeting of the Society for Integrative and Comparative Biology in Austin, Texas in January 2023. Mia, Jeremy, Grace, Akshaya, Alex, Shauna, Taylor, and David all presented posters of our work on lizard brains, lizard teeth, lizard welfare, lizard muscles, lizard tails, and lizard reproduction. (We really love lizards!)
Several students in the lab participated in Best Student Presentation competitions, and our very own Taylor Black won the Karel Liem award for Best Student Poster in the Division of Vertebrate Morphology, for her work with Dr. Thom Sanger and Dr. Michele Johnson on the evolution of lizard teeth. Congratulations, Taylor!!
